Specialist Wheelchair Therapist

Location: Amersham Hospital, Amersham

Hours: 31.5 hours/ week

Salary: £31,365.00 - £37,890.00 pa pro rata

Are you an enthusiastic, motivated wheelchair therapist (occupational therapist or physiotherapist) or with lots of potential?

Come and join our friendly specialist team of therapists, rehabilitation engineers, technicians and administration staff to provide a comprehensive service to people of all ages living with long term mobility problems.

The role will include undertaking clinic-based assessments and visits within the community at a range of locations, including people’s homes and schools, within the Buckinghamshire area.

The work is varied and interesting with lots of in-service training, joint assessments and clinical supervision giving you new challenges and experiences that will stretch you, and provide a sound base for future career development.

The skills required for this specialist role include practical problem-solving for complex postural and mobility needs and highly developed clinical reasoning and communication skills. The successful candidate should have a broad range of clinical experience, maybe in neurology, paediatrics, spinal, learning disabilities or orthopaedics including the management of long term conditions.

Experience in the assessment and prescription of wheelchairs and accessories is desirable, but training will be provided. Please apply directly for the position on NHS Jobs
