cover

The 44th edition of Naidex is taking place this week, on 25th & 26th April 2018 at the NEC, Birmingham.

Introducing you to the latest technologies in healthcare, with over 300 exhibitors, 200 CPD accredited seminars, brand new interactive features, panel debates and more!

At the event, there are lots of sessions and activities of relevance to those working in the field of posture and mobility, a few are highlighted below:

Panel Sessions
The Panel Theatre will host a variety of discussions and debates around current topics that are affecting the disability sector, including employability, the future of care and personal injury. The Future of Care session at 11:00 on Wednesday 25th April may be of particular interest; it will look at how technology is changing care for elderly and disabled clients, and what this means for the future of the sector.

Mobility Test Track
The track will include a variety of artificial off-road terrain, ramps, and obstacles for gauging manoeuverability and suspension across all brands of powered wheelchairs available at the event. This could be a great opportunity to test new equipment in a more realistic environment than the exhibition floor.

Some other sessions that may be of interest:

  • More Than The Treatment, Peter Lyne; Wednesday 25th April, 13.15 - 13.45, Public Theatre 2
  • Understanding and meeting the HCPC’s standards for continuing professional development, Alex Urquhart; Thursday 26th April, 11.45 - 12.15, Professional Theatre 6
  • Future impact of Smart Devices, Markos Demetriou; Thursday 26th April, 13.15 - 13.45, Public Theatre 1
