Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to join London’s largest and busiest teaching hospital? Are you an experienced rehabilitation engineer and wish to join an established team working in the field of posture and mobility? If so, then this could be the job for you.

We are looking to recruit a rehabilitation engineer to work in the south east London area to provide engineering input to the delivery of posture and mobility systems and associated assistive technology, based on the specific needs of the client and their environment.

Applicants must have good communication skills, be able to show initiative, be self-motivated and be able to work independently. An engineering qualification and/or equivalent work based experience is a requirement. Applicants must be currently registered as a Clinical Technologist or Clinical Scientist with the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine/Health and Care Professions Council.

Those who are not currently registered may still apply although, if successful, the candidate would be expected to undertake the necessary training and development to achieve registration within 24 months from employment. The relevant training and development to achieve registration as a Clinical Technologist will be supported by the Trust. Where this is the case the successful candidate may be paid using Annex 21 of the Agenda For Change payscale until they have achieved the relevant level of competence and registration.

A full (manual) driving licence is required. Due to the nature of the patient contact and flexible location, this post will be subject to an enhanced and barred DBS disclosure.
