Rehabilitation Engineer Technician Band 4

The Clinical Science and Engineering department at Salisbury District Hospital has been established in the provision of special seating and rehabilitation services for over 25 years. The main focus of Medical Engineering is the provision of special wheelchair seating for patients with complex physical disabilities and rehabilitation engineering support to services based at Salisbury District Hospital and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking applications from a motivated individual for the Rehabilitation Engineering Technician role who will:

• Support the multidisciplinary medical engineering team

• Apply technical skills to support wheelchair & special seating clinics

• Manufacture bespoke seating & rehabilitation aids

• Carry out manual wheelchair maintenance and repairs

Predominantly the service operates from the purpose built Medical Engineering facility, but there is a requirement to travel to satellite clinics and visit clients in their homes, schools and day centres.
