Seating Technician

Location: Bradford

Hours: 40 hours per week

Our Bradford site has a new and exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the business as a Seating Technician.

Job Purpose:
The nature of the role is varied and can be fast paced so the successful candidate will maintain high standards when working to varying deadlines and specifications, meeting planned volumes and targets in accordance with safety and quality standards. Responsible for delivering manufacturing and production performance targets by following agreed operating procedures and actively participating in continuous improvement methodologies to improve performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery, HSE and team development.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Operating machines to manufacture seating and accessories
  • Grinding and using a router to finish off products
  • Using hand tools and knives to trim and finish items in production
  • Reading specifications and following instructions from clinicians
  • Actively participating in safety, quality and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintaining an excellent standard of housekeeping
  • Having a sound knowledge of systems and procedures and carrying out all work in a safe manner, reporting any issues via the appropriate system

Competencies required:

  • Experience in manufacturing, verbal communication and team work skills
  • Desire to champion the company values
  • Logical problem solving skills
  • Strong hand/eye coordination and excellent attention to details
  • Confident using machines and hand tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and work on your own initiative
  • You must be organised, proactive and efficient
  • You must be flexible in your work approach
