Research Funded by Posture & Mobility Group In 2007

In 2007, the R&D sub-committee offered funding to the following studies.

• What is the effect of postural management at night on hip stability and quality of sleep in children with bilateral CP and how do the children and their parents view it?

• Exploring teachers’ perceptions of postural management programmes for children with complex physical disabilities within mainstream education
  (Dr Eve Hutton, Senior Lecturer Occupational Therapy, Caterbury Christchurch University)

• An evaluation of power relationships in assessment processes for disabled children
  (Miss Sally Kyle, Senior Physiotherapist, Wheelchair Service, Whipps Cross University NHS Trust)
