Membership Information

PMG membership includes:

• Consultants in Rehabilitation Medicine
• Therapists
• Clinical & Rehabilitation Engineers
• Service Managers
• Service Commissioners (purchasers)
• Equipment Suppliers
• Posture and Mobility Users
  

The majority of members work in the wheelchair and special seating services. Other members use or collaborate with the services including personnel from education; training; research; equipment manufacturers / suppliers and specialist clinical services.

The PMG holds an annual scientific meeting/conference and publishes two newsletters a year. The annual scientific meeting includes invited speakers on subjects of direct relevance to posture and mobility; free papers giving results of recent research, service initiatives & equipment design and debates about issues such as whether a needs led service is better than a criteria led service.

Members receive two journals a year which provide for communication and information updates on wide ranging issues related to posture and mobility; and there are regular ebulletins throughout the year to keep members as up-to-date as possible about the work of PMG and others.

Members are eligible to apply for bursaries and research grants, and other benefits are offered year by year, depending on the financial situation at the time.
